2. From Fix Central, select the following options:

Product Group = Storage Systems
ƒ
Product Family = Tape Systems
ƒ
Product Type = Tape device drivers and software
ƒ
Product = Tape device drivers
ƒ
Platform = select Windows 64-bit, x86
Note: If the nTier500 uses the 32-bit version of Windows Storage
Server, select
Windows 32-bit, x86 > Continue
3. Click Continue .
4. On the Identify Fixes page, confirm that only the Browse for fixes option
is selected.
5. Click Continue to display a list of the available drivers.
6. Click Show Fix Details to view information about each driver.
7. Select the driver you want to download and click Continue .
8. Download the updated driver.
a. Complete the remaining screens to begin the download process.
b. Save the file containing the driver either to a known location on the
nTier500 system drive or to a USB drive.
9. If you saved the update files to a USB drive, connect the drive to one of
the USB ports on the back of the server (see
Figure 3 on page 22 ).
10. Extract (unzip) the file containing the device driver into the following
folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SpectraLogic\drivers\IBM LTO Tape Drives
Unzipping the file creates a new folder whose name includes the latest
driver version number. For example:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SpectraLogic\drivers\IBM LTO Tape Drives
\IBMTape.x64_6204
Note: If your nTier500 uses the 32-bit version of Windows Storage
Server, unzip the file into the following folder:
C:\Program Files\SpectraLogic\drivers\IBM LTO Tape Drives
If your organization... Choose...
Has a policy against using non-WHQL certified
drivers. The WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs)
certified driver, if available.
Does not have a policy against using non-WHQL
certified drivers. Any appropriate driver.
