PECIFICATIONS
This section provides information about the interfaces used to connect the
nTier500 to the host systems and to external physical storage devices. It
also provides information about the Ethernet interface used to access the
BlueScale web interface.
Interface Connectors
Network Interface Cables
The type of cables required to connect the nTier500 to the network depend
on the type of interface being used.
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Support
The USB ports support the following:
USB mass storage devices (for example, flash drives)
Keyboards
Pointer devices (for example, a computer mouse)
FAT file formats (FAT, FAT12, FAT 16, and FAT 32)
Long file names
The USB ports do
not
support:
Cameras
Multimedia devices (for example, MP3 players)

Two SFP+ optical modules with a duplex LC connector

Two LC SFP transceivers with a duplex LC connector
SCSI HBA (optional)
Two Ultra-3 SCSI “LVD” 68-pin Micro D female connectors.
Note:
The SCSI HBA is no longer available for purchase with a new
nTier500. It is only supported as a legacy device.

similar Category 5 cable with an RJ-45 connector
