When the drive sled is in position, push the handle inward and to the
right until it locks in place. An audible click indicates that the drive sled
is locked into position.
Note:
The latch occasionally sticks in the open position. If this
happens, simply push it to the left and press the handle inward
to lock the drive into place.

Connect the Cables and Power On
After installing the drives, you are ready to connect the remaining cables to
the system and perform the initial power-up.

shows the location of the connectors used.
Note:
The expansion slots accommodate optional interface cards to
provide additional connectivity.
One 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 GigE) network interface card
(NIC) provides high-speed data connections between the
hosts and the nTier500.
One or two Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBA) to
provide Fibre Channel connectivity to a tape library.
Depending on when your nTier500 was manufactured, the
two right-most expansion slots may not be present.
