Drive Wheel Gear Oil Replacement
1.
Orient the drive wheel so that the larger of the two ports is at the bottom and the
smaller is at the top right.
2.
Place a catch container capable of holding at least 0.5 gallons under the drive wheel
gear.
3.
Remove the top fill port.
4.
Remove the bottom fill port to allow oil to drain completely.
5.
Install the bottom fill port.
6.
Fill the top port until oil spills out.
7.
Install the top port.
Hydraulic Oil Filter Replacement
1.
Remove the six screws holding the rear panel in place.
2.
Gently remove the rear panel and set it aside. There is no need to disconnect the
wiring.
3.
Place a catch container capable of holding at least 0.5 gallons under the oil filter.
4.
Use a strap wrench to remove the oil filter.
5.
Apply a thin coat of oil to the seal on a new oil filter.
6.
Install the new filter and tighten hand tight only.
7.
Install the rear cover and six screws.
Wire Rope Lubrication
1.
Extend and raise the boom completely.
2.
Lower the hook as far as possible. Have another person walk the hook out if the
hook will hit the ground before the winch drum is empty.
3.
While WINCHING UP, hold a can of spray lube near the winch drum and spray the
wire rope as it is wrapped around the drum. Ensure constant tension is placed on the
wire rope to ensure proper spooling.
4.
Retract and lower the boom as needed to ensure the entire wire rope is lubricated.
