Traveling the PC094 In Travel Mode
•
Start the PC094 after confirming that it is Travel Mode (no attached load; boom, hook
block, and stabilizers stored).
•
Place the Tiller Handle into its Travel Position.
•
Sound the Safety Horn to warn bystanders that the PC094 will be moving.
•
Use the Accelerator to move (travel) the PC094 forwards and backwards.
•
Use the Tiller to steer the PC094 while it is in movement.
•
Releasing the Accelerator will cause the PC094 to stop. The PC094
’
s Drive Wheels
will automatically brake themselves, there is no separate parking brake.
Operator Placement During Travel
When traveling the PC094 forwards, you
should adjust your position so that you can
see past the PC094
’
s left or right side.
When traveling the PC094 backwards, you
should hold the Tiller Handle with one hand,
face away from the PC094, and walk forward,
as if you were dragging a wagon or pallet
-
jack.
Forward versus Reverse Traveling
There are advantages and disadvantages to traveling the PC094 forwards
or backwards.
•
While traveling forwards, you have the most awareness of the PC094,
but most of your forward view will be blocked by the PC094 itself.
•
While traveling backwards, there is nothing blocking your view, but
your situational awareness of the PC094 will be low since it will be
behind you.
