The External Features of the PC094

Side (Travel Mode)

Sheave Pin
The large
-
diameter pin that holds the boom tip sheave
which guides the wire rope from the wire rope drum to the
hook block. The sheave pin is also used to measure boom
length and boom tip height.

Lift Point (left
-
side)
One of the two steel rings welded to the boom of the
PC094, at its horizontal center
-
of
-
gravity. Properly rigged,
the PC094 can be lifted by another lifting system at the Lift
Points.

Hinge Pin
The large
-
diameter pin that holds that connects the boom
to the turret of the PC094. The boom rotates on the hinge
pin when the boom is raised and lowered. The hinge pin is
also used (with the sheave pin) to measure boom length.

Crane Control Levers (3)
The array of hydraulic control levers that are used to
command the boom angle, boom length, and winch of the
PC094.

Wire Rope Drum (exposed)
The steel drum that is connected to the winch gear and
holds the stored wire rope of the PC094.

Part Hook Block
The standard hook block of the PC094.

Tie

Back/Rear Tie

Down Point (left

side)
One of two tie

back/tie

down points for the rear of the
PC094. When fitted with a properly

rated shackle, this
point can be used to secure the PC094 to the ground, or
another structure.

Left Stabilizer
Stabilizers are used to prevent the PC094 from overturning
sideways when the PC094 is heavily loaded. Stabilizers are
locked into either the stored or extended condition.

Left Drive Wheel
One of two hydraulically
-
actuated drive wheels that can
propel the PC094 forwards and backwards (traveling).

Idle/Steering Wheel
The wheels at the back of the PC094 are not powered but
connected to the Tiller and used to turn the PC094 while it
is being traveled.
