Features of the Travel Control Group
These are the controls and indicators within the Travel Control Group (TCG), organized
from front
-
to
-
back.
1. Tiller
The Tiller is the long lever that is connected to the Steering Wheel of the SPYDER-
CRANE PC094. When the Tiller is turned to one direction or another, the Steering
Wheel will also turn .
2. Handle Pin
The Tiller terminates with the Tiller Handle, which is the control interface for the
PC094.
The Tiller Handle is lowered into its Travel Position when the PC094 wants to travel
the PC094 and then raised into the Crane Position when the operator wants to use the
crane controls of the PC094.
The Tiller Handle Pin is used to lock the Tiller Handle into one of its two positions.
3. Tiller Handle
The Tiller Handle is installed at the end of the Tiller and it used by the PC094 to con-
trol the PC094 for traveling. The Tiller Handle has two handles that the PC094 Opera-
tor will grasp when turning the Tiller and all of the controls used for traveling the
PC094.
The controls on Tiller Handle are designed to be operated with either the left or right
hand.
4. Safety Horn Button
The Safety Horn Button will sound the PC094
’
s safety horn, when pressed.
5. Auto
-
Forward Switch
The Auto
-
Forward Switch is a large slam button that, when pressed will stop and trav-
el the PC094 forward, at a slow rate.
The purpose of the Auto
-
Forward Switch is to reverse the direction of the PC094 if the
operator backs into an immoveable object and is danger of being pinned between the
moving PC094 and the object. The Auto
-
Forward Switch acts like a bumper, when it
hits the operator, or the object, the PC094 will automatically travel forward.
See the
