The Accelerator is used to control the direction and speed of the PC094
’
s two Drive
Wheels.
The Accelerator is a spring
-
loaded controller designed to be operated with the thumbs.
The two switches (left and right) of the Accelerator are linked together, if the left
switch is rolled forward, the right switch will also roll forward. This allows the PC094
Operator to control the PC094 travel drive with either hand.
Under normal conditions, rolling the Accelerator forward by pressing UP on the
switch will turn the two Drive Wheels FORWARD. Rolling the Accelerator backward
by pressing DOWN on the switch will turn the two Drive Wheels BACKWARD.
When released, the Accelerator will immediately spring back to the center
-
position
and the PC094 will stop.
The more the Accelerator is rolled from its center position, the more power is applied
to the Drive Wheels and the faster the PC094 will travel.
WARNING
Unusual Conditions For the Accelerator and Auto
-
Forward Switch
The Tiller and Steering Wheel of the PC094 can be turned to one side more
than 90

-
degrees to one
side, the Accelerator will REVERSE functions:
•
Rolling the Accelerator FORWARD will turn the Drive Wheels
BACKWARD
•
Rolling the Accelerator BACKWARD will turn the Drive Wheels
FORWARD
The Auto
-
Forward Switch will also reverse function if it is pressed while
the Tiller is rotated over 90
-
degrees:
•
If the Auto
-
Forward Switch is pressed while the PC094 is being
traveled BACKWARDS, the PC094 WILL CONTINUE to travel
backwards.
•
If the Auto
-
Forward Switch is pressed while the PC094 is being
traveled FORWARDS, the PC094 will begin traveling BACK-
WARDS.
