6.7.5 Interrupting and Restoring the Remote Desktop Connection with the
R&S FSQ
The connection to the R&S FSQ can be interrupted at any time by closing the Remote Desktop
window on the controller.
To restore the connection with the R&S FSQ, merely follow the instructions provided in the
section
“ Connection Setup with the R&S FSQ” on page 6.31 . If the connection is interrupted
and then restored, the R&S FSQ remains in the same state.
During the connection with the controller, the login entry will appear on the R&S FSQ screen.
If the login procedure is completed successfully on the instrument, a message will appear on
the controller display indicating that another user has assumed control of the instrument and
that the connection was terminated as a result.
6.7.6 Deactivating the R&S FSQ from the Controller
The R&S FSQ can be deactivated via remote control. To do so, proceed as follows:
1. Click the R&S FSQ soft front panel and close the application with
ALT + F4 .
2. Click the desktop and press ALT + F4 .
A safety query will appear that warns you that the instrument cannot be reactivated via
remote control and asks you whether you want to continue the shutdown process.
3. Respond to the safety query with YES.
The connection with the controller will then be terminated and the R&S FSQ will be
deactivated.
