2.4 Setup

2.4.1 Selecting the Frequency Reference

You can switch the reference signal for frequency processing of the R&S FSQ between the
internal reference and an external reference signal at 10 MHz as follows:

➢

Press the

SETUP

key.

The

SETUP

menu will open.

➢

Press the

REFERENCE INT/EXT

softkey until it is in the desired state.

IEC bus command:

ROSC:SOUR INT

If the reference signal is missing when switchover to the external
reference occurs,

EXREF

is displayed after a few moments, indicating

that synchronization has not taken place.
When switchover to an internal reference occurs, note that the external
reference signal is removed in order to avoid any interactions with the
internal reference signal.
