USB Interfaces
The R&S FSQ provides a USB female connector at the front panel for connecting two USB
devices (USB 2.0). For pin assignment see
page 14 .
Removable Hard Disk (CF CARD, Option R&S FSU-B18)
The option R&S FSU-B18 replaces the internal hard disk by a removable compact flash card.
The compact flash card (
Fig. 1-4 ) is inserted at the front panel of the instrument. Option
R&S FSU-B19 provides a spare hard disk.

3 +15 V; max. 150 mA
Use suitable double shielded cables.
Use only USB devices that keep the permissible EMI limits.
In the Windows Explorer, the removable compact flash card is
displayed as C: (operating system) and D: (data) drives.
To ensure failure-free operation, it is recommended to avoid placing external cables close
to the compact flash card.
Switch off the instrument before removing the compact flash card to avoid malfunctions.
