32. PERIPHERALS
<Peripherals> menu is located in <Parameters> menu. To access Peripherals menu press
Setup key or <
Setup> quick access button. Peripherals menu provides list of devices
that can cooperate with the balance.
32.1. Computer
Active balance – computer connection is signalled by
pictogram (top bar of the home
screen). <
Computer> submenu enables configuration of connection settings.
Procedure:

Peripherals/
Computer>.

Set parameters related to cooperation with a computer.

Computer port
Available options: none, COM 1, COM 2, Tcp,

Address
Give address of balance connected to a computer,

Continuous transmission
Available options: NO, YES
(printout format is conditioned by set weighing
printout template – see parameter below),

Interval:
Parameter enables setting printout frequency for continuous transmission.
Printout frequency is set in seconds, with 0.1s accuracy.
You can set frequency in a range from 0.1 to 1000 seconds for continuous
transmission activated using module and computer.

Printout template for weighing
Parameter enables printout customization that is to be carried out in a window
with printout template (
for detailed information about creating printouts refer to
section 30.19 of this user manual
).

E2R System
E2R System performs supervision and control over all weighing processes
carried out using mass comparator. With E2R system activated some databases
can be operated using computer exclusively (access to specified functions and
options using weighing instrument is not possible).
CAUTION:
<
E2R System> can only be activated by balance manufacturer or by authorized
personnel.
To provide correct cooperation with E2R System, continuous transmission has to be
activated.
32.2. Printer
<Printer> submenu allows you to:

set port for establishing communication with a printer,
−
define printer's code page (by default: 1250),
−
define control codes for PCL printer or EPSON receipt printer.
Caution: Codes must be entered in a hexadecimal form!

define printout templates.
