6 Press the A button. One of the following may happen:
• If you receive a display that says your timer overlaps another timer, you can elect to resolve
the overlap or to let Passport DCT resolve the overlap. Refer to Resolving Timer Overlaps
and Issues on page 37 for additional information.
• If you have set parental controls, and this program falls within the parameters of parental
control, you are asked to enter your PIN number. Enter the 4-digit PIN number.
• If you have set a VCR timer, you see a reminder display for the VCR. Read the reminder and
press the SELECT button to accept the information and close the display.
• If none of the above occurs, go to the next step.
7 The program guide displays the program in yellow with the selected timer symbol inside the
grid with the program name. Press the EXIT button to exit the program guide and return to
the currently selected channel.
Clearing Non-PPV Timers
This procedure is for clearing timers. Once a timer is cleared, it disappears from the list and if you
change your mind, you must set it again. You may also suspend a timer without clearing it. For that
procedure, refer to Resetting/Resuming Non-PPV Timers, page 46.
To clear a timer for a future non-PPV program from the program guide
Note: At any time during this procedure, you can elect to cancel this procedure by pressing the EXIT button. In
that event, there are no changes to the timer.
1 Press the GUIDE button. The program guide displays.
2 Press the arrow buttons to highlight the program for which you want to clear the timer. The
program displays in the program guide, highlighted in yellow with a timer symbol.
3 Press the SELECT button. One of the following happens:
• Passport DCT displays the channel. This means that this is not a future program, this
program is currently airing.
