Using the Program Guide
Sample procedure to resolve a timer overlap
1 When setting a timer you may see the following display:
2 Review the list of overlaps and decide whether you wish to suspend or clear any of the
preexisting timers.
• If you wish to let Passport DCT resolve the overlap(s), go to the next step.
• If you wish to resolve the overlap, highlight each program and change the timer status
using the right arrow button (Active, Clear, or Suspend). For additional information on
these three options, refer to Modifying or Clearing Non-PPV Timers, page 44 or Modifying
or Canceling PPV Purchases, page 50. Once you have made all the changes you desire, go
to the next step.
3 Press the A button to accept the display as it appears.
4 You may see the following display.
• If there are still overlaps, you are given the opportunity to choose to go Back and
review/adjust the overlaps manually or let Passport DCT resolve it automatically.
- If you wish to have adjustments made automatically, press the A button to continue.
- If you wish to go back and make further adjustments, press the C button and repeat steps
2 and 3.
