114 . Clarus 590 GC User’s Guide

 

 

Set the Air and Hydrogen Flow s  

The FID pneumatics utilizes two PPC modules: one to control the air and the other to control the hydrogen. 

You set the PPC controlled air and hydrogen flow from the Clarus GC touch screen. Each PPC module is 

calibrated at the factory with the gas (air and hydrogen) that it controls; therefore, to set the gas flow, 

simply follow this procedure.  Turn on the air at the source and adjust the line pressure to 70 - 90 psig.

Turn on the hydrogen at the source and adjust the line pressure to 60 - 90 psig.

Press the 

Tools 

button and select 

Configuration

. 

The Configuration screen, similar to the one below, appears:

Touch the detector button labeled 

FIDW

. 

 

NOTE:  FIDW indicates the wide range FID is installed. 

The configuration screen for the FIDW detector appears: 

 

 

NOTE:  The screen above shows that an FIDW is installed on Channel A.
