
3.1 GENERAL
RADAR II is designed with the best features of tape machines in mind - particularly
its simplicity of operation. This will allow you to learn the operation of RADAR II
quickly and be productive with a minimum of down time.
This section describes recording and transport operation, including arming tracks,
input monitoring, recording, playback monitoring, and all transport locate features
including shuttle/jog and autolocation.
3.2 ARMING TRACKS FOR RECORD
There are 48 buttons on the Session Controller, which are used to place tracks in
Record Ready mode.
(These are referred to in this manual as Track Arm buttons.
) The
buttons are momentary type with an LED in the center to indicate Record Ready
status, and when tracks are armed, the button(s) show red flashing lights. Tracks
may be armed in all transport modes including Record mode. Press any armed
track’s button again to disarm, and its LED will go out.

Arm the track(s) you want to record on using the track arm buttons, then
cue and start the audio source.
