2.10.4 Naming Projects
To name a project:
1.
Select Name Project from the Project menu.
2.
Use the up/down arrows (or the jog wheel) to select the project to
rename, then use the RE-8 QWERTY keyboard to enter the name.
Please Note:
By pressing/holding the SHIFT button on the Session Controller, you may
type in names using UPPERCASE letters via the QWERTY keyboard.
Please Note:
On the front panel, use the cursor left/right buttons to move on the LCD
display. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select letters. Press/hold UP or
DOWN to scroll quickly through the available characters.
Each project may be named with up to 13 characters. (The system allows you to
enter a 16-character name, but the last three characters may be erased if the project
is ever copied.)
If a project is never explicitly named, it uses the name “UNTITLED”.
2.10.5 Naming Tracks
In addition to naming the entire project, RADAR II enables you to name individual
tracks in the project. To name tracks:
1.
Select Name Tracks from the Project menu.
2.
Using the Track Arm buttons, select the track (one or more) to be named.
3.
Use the Session Controller QWERTY keyboard to enter the name for
that track (or group of tracks.)
Please Note:
By pressing/holding the SHIFT button on the Session Controller and its
QWERTY keys, you may type UPPER CASE letters into track names.
Please Note:
On the front panel, use the cursor left/right buttons to move on the LCD
display. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select letters. Press/hold UP or
DOWN to scroll quickly through the available characters.
Each track name may use up to 13 characters.
Track names appear in the
RADARVIEW
display (see §2.12).
2.10.6 Copying Projects
To copy a project:
1.
Change to the project to be copied
(if not there already.)
2.
Select Copy Project from the Project menu.
RADAR II will then copy the
current project to the first unused Project location, append the project name
with the suffix “V 2”, then change to that project.
(If you copy the project from V
2, the suffix changes to V 3, etc.)
