Select a new ID using the cursor up/down keys. (Valid ID numbers are 1 - 7.) The
new ID is stored, and used the next time
RADARLINK
is enabled.
Please Note:
RADARLINK ID can also be changed via the Preferences menu (§4.3.4.14)
any time
RADARLINK
is disabled.
When valid configurations have been selected, the Master RADAR defaults to
“BROADCAST” mode (see below).
RADARLINK
is now configured for use.
To disable
RADARLINK
re-select the RADARLINK item, and select Cancel.
From the RE-8:
To disable RADARLINK, press “L” again.
Please Note:
When
RADARLINK
is enabled, all user interface actions on Slave units are
ignored, with the following exception: When the ESCAPE or CANCEL
button is pressed on a Slave unit, the unit will display a message: CANCEL
RADARLINK? Y/N, allowing the user to unilaterally disarm
RADARLINK
.
This escape routine is useful if the
RADARLINK
hardware connection is
broken.
D.4 RADARLINK OPERATING MODES
D.4.1 Broadcast Mode
Please Note:
Broadcast Mode is the default mode when
RADARLINK
is first configured.
In Broadcast Mode, commands are broadcast from the Master RADAR to all Slave
units, and executed on each unit simultaneously. When the mode is engaged, the
Master unit forces all Slave devices to agree with its settings of system-wide
parameters including:
• Sample Rate
• Varispeed (on/off and value)
• SMPTE Rate
• Crossfade Time
• Pre/Post Roll Time
• Auto-Input, Auto-Play, Auto-Punch, Cycle, Record Safe
• System Preferences, Time/Date
• Project Number
• Locate Points and Labels
IMPORTANT!
If
RADARLINK
has just been enabled, all Slaves will be cued to the same time
location as the Master. If the selection of Broadcast Mode follows an operation in
Solo Mode (see below), all Slaves will be cued to the same location as the most
