effect will be pre- and post-timed around that impact. This feature enables you to
get the effect spotted precisely on the first attempt.
• To mark a SYNC point, press the MARK SYNC key.
2.11.2 RADAR II’s Editing Clipboard
In tape editing, after you cut a piece for use elsewhere, you might hang it over your
shoulder if it is short, or wind it onto an edit reel if it is longer. RADAR II uses a
“clipboard” for storing cut or copied pieces. Once audio is on the clipboard, it may
be auditioned for content, and used elsewhere as needed.
Auditioning the Clipboar d:
You may audition the contents of the Editing
Clipboard by pressing the Session Controller’s SHIFT plus the PASTE/LISTEN
key, or you may select the LISTEN function from the Edit menu.

RADARVIEW
GRAPHICAL INTERFACE
RADARVIEW
is an optional graphical display option, which shows track meter
values, sync settings, edit parameters, and locate points, and also scrolls a large block
represesentation of each track playlist.
Active tracks are displayed in blue; soloed tracks are displayed in green.
Please Note:
RADARVIEW
software is included free as a part of the system. However,
to display the information, you must provide an Otari-approved graphics
accelerator card and multi-sync color video monitor. See your Otari dealer
for a list of approved hardware!
2.12.1 Track Window Zoom
The
RADARVIEW
track window provides 14 zoom levels, allowing you to view
as little as four seconds of audio full-screen, or as much as 24 hours.
To change the zoom setting, hold the
Z
key on the Session Controller, then press “
+ ” to zoom in (expand), or “ - ” to zoom out (shrink).
2.12.2 Screen Saver Delay
RADARVIEW
provides a Screen Saver feature, which disables the
RADARVIEW
screen after a predetermined time with no system activity. Any
system activity (any button press, any transport movement, any track meter level
changes) will re-enable the monitor display.
Please Note:
The default Screen Saver delay time is 1 minute of system inactivity.
You may change this delay time via the SCREEN SAVER item (under the
Preferences menu.)
