However, to most accurately spot this effect to video, you can mark a “SYNC” point
- in this example you’d mark the impact (using the MARK SYNC key).
Then, when spotting the effect, you set the IN, SYNC, and OUT points, copy the
effect to the clipboard, cue the video to the point of impact, and PASTE the clip
into position. If a SYNC point is present in the clipboard material, the car crash
effect will be pre- and post-timed around that impact. This feature enables you to
get the effect spotted precisely on the first attempt.
1.
Cue to a desired location using the Transport, Auto locate, Jog Wheel
or Enter Time functions.
2.
Press MARK SYNC during any transport mode.
This can be pressed
during playback, record or with the transport stopped.
6.12.4 Recalling and Editing a MARKed Location Point
1.
Press and release RECALL LOC, then press the MARK IN, MARK
OUT, or MARK SYNC button
– whichever one you wish to edit.
2.
Press ENTER.
The transport will be cued to the point you have chosen.
3.
Press the ENTER TIME button, and make the desired changes.
Once you have edited the current location to your satisfaction with ENTER TIME,
press the MARK button you want changed. This will delete the previous MARK
location and replace it with the edited one.
6.13 FOOT SWITCH FEATURES
RADAR II’s Session Controller provides external contact closure control of several
transport functions - these are typically foot-switches, but could be any type of
switch.
The back panel of the Session Controller has three 1/4-inch input jacks. To these
you may connect three momentary contact foot switches.
Please Note:
The contacts in the foot switches must be wired as normally open.
The foot switch inputs are numbered from one to three, with the following
functions:
Switch #1:
Toggles between PLAY and STOP.
Switch #2:
Cues to the current Auto LOCation point. (This switch actually
replaces two button presses: RECALL LOC and ENTER.)
Switch #3:
Executes RECORD (from PLAY mode only.)
