RADAR II Session Controller
The RADAR II Session Controller is a dedicated remote control surface with all
the features you’d expect from an Otari remote: track arming buttons, transport,
auto-location, and editing controls... plus a jog/shuttle wheel for accurate editing.
48 track arming buttons enable one Session Controller to operate two systems in
a RADARLINK configuration.
A new architecture allows for direct access to commonly used menu items. In
addition, Macro Keys enable you to program common button-press sequences -
these can be stored, then recalled at the touch of a button.
Separate Meter Bridge
The RADAR II Session Controller incorporates a separate meter bridge that
attaches to the main body of the Controller with a supplied bracket. In large-
format configurations, a second meter bridge may be mounted next to the
standard one, for level display of tracks 25 through 48.
Since the meter bridge is a separate unit, it may be mounted behind your console
meterbridge, or near your
RADARVIEW
monitor.
RADARVIEW
Graphical Display Option
RADARVIEW
provides a graphical display of track meter values, sync settings,
edit parameters, and will scroll a large block representation of each track
including locate points. Please note that the
RADARVIEW
software is provided
as standard; however the user must purchase an Otari-approved graphics
accelerator card and an appropriate video monitor in order to take advantage of
the feature.
SONY 9-pin Serial Machine Control
The Sony BVU-950 Serial Machine Control interface is now supported by
RADAR II. This enables your system to operate the transport controls of any
externally-connected devicethat supports the popular Sony 9-pin interface!
TDIFLINK (option)
The TDIFLINK option enables you to transfer up to 24 tracks of digital audio to
or from RADAR II. The TDIFLINK option may be used between RADAR II
and tape-based equipment compliant with the format, or even between separate
RADAR II systems!
RADARLINK Multi-system Operation
For installations requiring more than 24 tracks, Otari provides RADARLINK,
which enables up to five RADAR II systems to be linked together, and operated
from a single RADAR II Session Controller.
