A.4.7  RADARLINK Installation

The 

RADARLINK

feature enables up to five (5) slaved RADAR systems to be

controlled from one Master RADAR (using an optional RE-8).  The slave RADAR
systems are locked to the sample clock of the master system.

Standard DB-9 cables (straight-wired pin to pin; available at most computer stores)
are attached from the RADARLINK OUT connector on the Master system to the
RADARLINK IN connector of the slave system, then daisy-chained for all
remaining 

RADARLINK

slave systems (up to 5).

appear in Appendix D.

A.4.8  Remote Diagnostics MODEM Hookup

RADAR includes Remote Modem Diagnostics software, which enables OTARI
Technical Support personnel to dial up a user’s RADAR in the field, and perform
diagnostics procedures and monitor system operation to isolate problems.  This
feature requires the user to supply a standard V.32 or V.34-compatible external
modem.

To install the External Modem:

Connect the external modem using a DB-9 (straight pin-to-pin) cable to the AUX 1 port
on the Session Controller.
