Cleaning the Head Nozzles

When nozzle missing occurs, clean the head nozzle.

1

Press the 

 key in LOCAL.

Press 

 to select [Nozzle Clean].

Press the 

 key.

• The carriage moves onto the platen.

Open the maintenance cover R to clean the 
wiper.

5

Clean the wiper cleaner.

• Wipe off the ink sticking to the wiper cleaner with a clean

stick dipped in cleaning solution for maintenance.

Wash the sponge under the wiper.

Remove the sponge in the wiper frame and wash it with water.

(2)

Dry the sponge and put it into the wiper frame again.

Press the 

 key.

Check the items 

on the right 

beforehand.

Is [NEAR END] or [INK END] displayed?

• At the cleaning operation, perform ink absorbing. 

At this time, if [NEAR END] or [INK END] is displayed, cleaning operation cannot be 
performed.

• Replace with the ink pack with enough ink.
