When moire fringes occur during printing
When moire fringes occur in the image during printing, terminate printing and perform the setting below.

When moire fringes occur in the printed image, terminate printing by pressing the
key.

Press the key in LOCAL.

Press the key.

Press to select one of the types (1 to 4) and press the key.
• Select the user type used when you printed in the Step 1.

Press to select [Moire Reduction].

Press the key.

Press to select [MR1] and press the
key.

Press the key several times to return to the local mode.

Press the key to restart printing and check whether moire fringes have
been reduced or not.
• When the moire fringes have been reduced, continue printing as it is.
• When the moire fringes have not been reduced, perform the procedures below:
(1) Terminate printing by pressing the key again.
(2) Operate the procedures from the Step 2, and set the value to other than [MR1] in the Step 7.
(3) Press the key several times to return the mode to local.
(4) Press the key to restart printing, and check the moire fringes.
• Until you can check that the moire fringes have been reduced, change the setting value of MR1 to
MR5 and check.

Set these when there are moire fringes in the printed image.
While watching the printed image, change the setting of MR1 to MR5. Then, use the setting
whose moire fringes have been most reduced.
• You can check whether the moire fringes have been reduced or not by the printed result.
For 4-pass printing, after performing 4-scan, for 8-pass printing, after performing 8-scan,
you can check it.
