Wash ink discharge passage (Drain Wash)
Wash the ink discharge passage regularly (about once a week) to prevent the head nozzles from clogging due
to ink coagulation inside the passage.

Press the key in LOCAL.

Press to select [Drain Wash].

Press the key.
• Check the waste ink tank and discard the waste ink as
required.

Press the key.
• The carriage moves onto the platen.
• Repeat the idle absorbing operation (Absorption for 10
seconds and interruption for 10 seconds) until the washing
operation is completed.

Open the maintenance cover R.

Fill up the cap with cleaning solution for
maintenance, using a dropper.
• When idle absorbing operation is stopped, fill up the cap
with cleaning solution on the verge of overflow from the
cap.
• Fill up all caps with cleaning solution.

Close the maintenance cover R.
