Setting softness
Even if you performed media adjustment ( P.3-6), if feeding unevenness cannot be solved, make the
“softness” valid.

Press the key in LOCAL.

Press the key.

Press to select one of the types (1 to 4) and press the key.

Press to select [Media Feed].

Press the key.

Press to select [Softness].

Press the key.

Press to select the correction level.
Level 0 to 3 : The softness correction becomes valid.
The correction amount is smaller for Level 0 and is the biggest for Level 3.
It is recommended to set this to “Level 0”.
OFF : The softness correction is not performed.

Press the key.

Press the key several times to end the setting.
• When you set the softness valid, the print quality with lower pass (6-pass and below) may be
degraded in some cases. Be sure to check the printed image, and perform the correction setting
(valid/invalid) or the correction level.
