Check the waste ink bottle.
• When waste ink has been pooled in the bottle making up more than half of it, empty the bottle by
following the procedures below.
(1) Remove the ink port discharging jig.
• While pressing the release button of the pressure reducing coupling body, pull it out to the front.
• Remove the waste ink bottle pasted on the Tx400.
(2) Remove the cap of the waste ink bottle and discard the waste ink inside.
(3) Replace the cap of the waste ink bottle.
(4) Attach the ink port discharging jig on the Tx400.
• Referring to the Step 7, attach the ink port discharging jig.

For all selected ink ports, perform the procedures from the Step 8 to 13.

Remove the ink port discharging jig.

Attach the head maintenance cover, and close the maintenance cover R.

Press the key.
• Ink is supplied automatically.
• When ink has been supplied completely, the screen returns to the
shown on the right.

Work from the Step 6 to the Step 17 again.

Press the key several times to end the setting.
• Before discarding waste ink, be sure to remove the ink port discharging jig from the main
body.
• Replace the cap tightly so that it has no loose.
• Be sure to remove the ink port discharging jig. If you operate the procedures from the next
step with the jig, it may cause the damage of the machine.
