Checking the brake setting
Natural wear of the brake drum and brake pad makes it necessary to readjust the wheel brakes
frequently to maintain the full stroke of the brake cylinder. To achieve good speed reduction
from braking, the air gap between the lining and brake drum must be kept as small as possible.

At approx. 6 bar of compressed air the brake lever (1) must be located approx. 55 mm from the
plate (2) in brake position.

Single axle - hydraulic brake
At approx. 100 bar of oil pressure the brake lever (1) must be located approx. 55 mm from the
plate (2) in brake position.
This setting can be adjusted on the profile of the brake shaft (Fig. RP-00-003):
1. Remove the snap ring (1) and push the brake shaft in as far as possible.
2. Loosen the screw (2).
3. Remove the brake lever (3) and adjust.
4. Tighten the screw (2).
5. Install the snap ring (1).
