The twine brake (1) is located in the twine box. The setting screws (2) hold the tying twine under
tension. The tying twine must always be held under tension to ensure that it can be cut off
properly. At the same time, however, the tying twine must not be tightened too much, so that it
can pass easily through the rubber roller when starting.
Different types of tying twine may have different friction properties. If the type of tying twine is
changed, readjust the twine brake:
• Turn the setting screws (2) clockwise or anticlockwise.

It is possible that the compression springs (3) will need to be adjusted differently so that the cut
