If a unit needs temperature protection, the box to be used for storage and transportation
must be lined on all walls, base and lid, using minimum 5 cm thick polyurethane or
polystyrene foam.
Most system units can normally be stored in temperatures between -30° C and +70° C.
Refer to the relevant technical specifications for details.
Note
Unless otherwise specified, transducers and hydrophones must not be stored in
temperatures below −10°C and above +50°C.
Procedure

Clean and protect the unit as described in the relevant procedures.

Place the unit in a suitable cardboard box or wooden crate.

Make sure that the unit is well be protected against physical damage by means of
shock-absorbing insulation mats.

Take the necessary precautions if the unit must be protected against high or low
temperatures, and mark the box accordingly.
5
Mark the box clearly to identify its contents.
6
Stored the box in a dry and dust-free area.

Storage after use
If a unit is removed from its operating location and placed into storage, it must be
properly cleaned and prepared before packing.
