3 .4 .2 .1 Reflection Mirror and UV Filter / Correcting Lens
The light of the xenon lamp will be
deflected by a reflection mirror (white
arrow) and guided via the UV filter
(black arrow) to the integrator and from
there to the Light Engine.
The
reflection mirror
filters the heat
radiation from the light.
The
UV filter
protects the DLP
®
chips
against too much UV radiation.
The UV filter of the DCP 30 LX version
is mounted on the
correcting lens
.
3 .4 .2 .2 Xenon Lamp
Corresponding to the projector model
the following bulbs are used:
- lamps up to 3000 W (DCP 30 SX) or
- lamps up to 7000 W (DCP 30 LX)
The quartz glass bulb encloses the
electrode system and the xenon gas.
The discharge arc burns between the
anode (+) and the cathode (-).
The cathode delivers the electrons.
The anode takes off the electrons.
The resulting energy will be trans-
formed into heat energy and then
reflected. The discharge arc (light arc)
is stabilized through a magnet.
ATTENTION
The adjustment of the stabilization
magnet must only be carried out by
experts.
3 .4 .2 .3 Cold Mirrors
The following main reflectors are available:
- Xenon unit 1,000 W to 3,000 W: Ø 320 mm
- Xenon unit 3,000 W to 7,000 W: Ø 340 mm
ATTENTION
U
Do not touch the inside of the main reflector with bare hands. If necessary carefully
remove fingerprints with an alcohol-soaked cloth.
U
The main reflector should only be changed by Kinoton service technicians.
