Special Hazard Points and Safety Hints
1 .5 .1 General Hints
• This projector is intended for installation in a
restricted access projection room
.
• The digital projector must be placed on
even and solid flooring
.
• The installation and all basic adjustments must be carried out by
trained service
personnel
only.
1 .5 .2 Ventilation
•
Slots and openings
in the housing are provided for ventilation. To ensure reliable
operation of the projector and to protect it from overheating, never cover or block
these openings.
•
Projection room
must be well ventilated or cooled in order to avoid build up of heat.
Optionally the air can be ducted outside the projection room or the building in order to
minimize the warming-up of the room.
To do so, the duct system must be capable of actively providing an airflow of
10-12 m³/min or 350–420 CFM, measured at the ventilation exhaust of the projector,
or lamphouse, respectively.
• The
air filters
on projector head have to be regularly cleaned or replaced, to
guarantee enough air flow inside the projector. Interruption of the air flow can cause
overheating. Overheating may lead to the projector shutting down during operation.
1 .5 .3 Optical Performances
To ensure the highest optical performance and resolution, the projector lenses are spe-
cially treated with an anti-reflective coating. Therefore, avoid touching the coated lens
surface.
To remove dust on the lens, use a soft dry cloth (Cleaning set from Kinoton).
Do not use a damp cloth, detergent solutions or thinner.
