1 .4 .2 Safety Door Switches in the Lamphouse
Door switches (black arrow) are mount-
ed behind the inner cover plates. The
xenon lamp does only ignite if these
covers are mounted (switch contact).
1 .4 .3 Temperature Sensor in the
Lamphouse
The temperature sensor (white arrow) measures the temperature in the lamphouse.
If the temperature is excessive, e. g. because a fan fails, the xenon lamp will be
switched off.
1 .4 .4 Air Flow Switch in the Lamphouse
The air flow switch is positioned close
to the radial fan (arrow).
As soon as the lamp is turned on the
fan operates.
If the air flow is interrupted the xenon
lamp will be switched off by the air flow
switch.
If the projector and therefore the lamp
is switched off, the fan should continue
to operate and cool the lamphouse up
to 10 minutes. Wait these 10 minutes
before switching off the main switch.
1 .4 .5 Monitoring of the Water Cooling
The constant coolant flow is monitored by sensors in the Light Engine.
For safety reasons the xenon lamp will be switched off if the coolant flow is interrupted
or too low.
For safety reasons the xenon lamp will also be switched off if the temperature of the
coolant exceeds an upper certain limit.
