DCP Communicator Software
5 .1
General
The DCP Communicator is a software tool to control and configure DCP projectors.
The user interface is displayed and operative via an optional touch panel PC or any
external Notebook/PC.
Depending on the user access the functions are enabled or disabled (greyed out).
The DCP Communicator can be used at two modes (levels):
• The
Default User
mode can be accessed without any password. This mode allows
operating the projector.
Areas, click buttons and menus which need a password are shown greyed out, they
are subject to the service.
• The Service level is password protected.
If this mode is enabled, further settings for projector installation, configuration and
maintenance can be carried out.
The service mode must only be used by trained service personnel.
This chapter describes the usage for the default user.
The DCP Communicator is user-friendly installed either on the optional touch panel PC
or can be installed on an external computer (operating system: Windows or Mac or
Linux).

The necessary settings and macros are normally preset during the installation
according to customer’s request. If changes are necessary, they can only be carried
out via the password protected service level.

can vary from the display on the touchscreen (Linux) or a Mac PC.
