5 .1 .1 Starting the DCP Communicator
$
On the optional touch panel the Communicator starts automatically with the projector.
• The program can also be started by double-clicking on the program icon
on the desktop.
$
If the communicator is installed on an external PC, it can also be started automati-
cally via a batch file (see service Communicator manual).
$
At the very first start an input window appears for entering your name and the name
of the cinema, per example, to log-in the default user.
• After entering the names, click on
OK
to confirm.
$

Because the network connection is already done and configured, simply click on

to activate the connection.
External PC
The PC can be connected either by Ethernet or serial via RS-232.
- Ethernet:
If necessary enter the IP address of the projector (Barco) in the
Connection
area
beside activated
Ethernet

If there is a projector icon in the
Environment selection area
(left window side), the
connection was automatically recognized.
Click on
or double-click on the projector icon to activate the connection.
- Serially via RS-232:
For connecting serially the used COM port must be selected in the
Connection
area
beside activated
