7. Open the raw water intake seacock.
8. Tighten the tension on the alternator belt.
9. Remove plastic cover over air filter.
10. Tighten the valve at bottom of the muffler.
11. OPEN the fuel supply valve.
12. Start the generator and check for leaks.
13. Check for overboard raw water discharge.
Propulsion Engines
The following re-commissioning procedure should be followed for each engine:
1. Reconnect the hose connecting the raw water intake seacock to the sea strainer.
2. Close the valve at the bottom of the sea strainer.
3. Reconnect the hose connecting the sea strainer to the raw water pump.
4. Install new impeller (if old one removed during de-commissioning).
5. Tighten the screws on the raw water intake pump.
6. Replace fuel filter element.
7. Open the raw water intake seacock.
8. Open gate valve to shaft seal.
9. Tighten the tension on the alternator belt.
10. Remove plastic cover over air filter.
11. Close the valve at bottom of the muffler in Engine Room.
12. OPEN the fuel supply and fuel return valves.
13. Start the engine and check for leaks.
14. Check for overboard raw water discharge.
Raw Water Washdown
The following re-commissioning procedure should be followed:
1. Reconnect the hose connecting the raw water intake seacock to the sea strainer.
2. Close the valve at the bottom of the sea strainer.
3. Reconnect the hose connecting the sea strainer to the raw water pump.
4. Reconnect the output hose to the pump.
5. Open the seacock.
6. Turn ON the circuit breaker labeled ‘ SALT WATER PUMP ’ on the 24V DC
Main Panel Disconnect.
7. Open the raw water washdown faucet and check all connections for leaks.
Refrigerator
The following re-commissioning procedure should be followed:
1. Reconnect the refrigerator power cord from the electrical outlet.
2. Turn ON the circuit breaker labeled ‘ REFRIGERATOR’ on the 120V AC
Inverter Bypass Panel.
3. Slide the freezer control to midpoint.
4. Slide the refrigerator control to midpoint.
5. Let the refrigerator run at least 8-12 hours before adding food.
