2. Select an engine, transmission, or Generator for oil discharge.
3. Place the discharge hose from the manifold in an appropriate and large enough
container.
4. Open the manifold valve for the selected engine, transmission, or Generator.
5. Move switch to ‘ DRAIN ’.
6. When all oil is drained, move switch to ‘ OFF/CENTER ’.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 for each engine, transmission, or Generator to be drained.
8. Turn OFF the ‘ OIL CHANGE PUMP ’ circuit breaker.
Filling with Oil
To fill an engine, transmission, or Generator with new oil, you should do the following:
1. Turn ON the circuit breaker labeled ‘ OIL CHANGE PUMP ’ on the 24V DC
Main Panel Disconnect.
2. Select an engine, transmission, or Generator to receive the new oil.
3. Place the fill hose in the container of new oil. Make sure the oil is the right
viscosity for the engine or generator. Multi viscosity for propulsion engines and
single viscosity for the transmissions and Generators.
4. Open the manifold valve for the selected engine, transmission, or Generator.
5. Move switch to ‘ FILL ’.
6. Monitor oil level on the dipstick. DO NOT OVERFILL .
7. Adjust the oil level by moving the switch to ‘ DRAIN ’ or ‘ FILL ’ until the oil
level shows midway on the crosshatch on the dipstick.
8. When oil level is correct, repeat process for other engines, transmissions or
Generators to be filled.
9. When through filling all engines and Generators, move switch to
‘
OFF/CENTER ’.
10. Turn OFF the ‘ OIL CHANGE PUMP ’ circuit breaker.
Oil Change System Basic Service and Maintenance
There is essentially no service or maintenance needed on either the pump or manifold.
The pump is
gear driven and has no impellers to change.
CAUTION
Inquire with the marina Dockmaster as to the proper disposal method of used oil.
CAUTION
Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for oil viscosity for the engine,
transmission, and Generator being careful not to mix oils of different viscosities
in the fill process.
