Fuel Polishing Basic Service and Maintenance
Once a month, or when the gauge on the Racor 1000FH fuel filtration/water separator
reads more than 14 inches, drain any contaminants from the DE-BUG™ Fuel
Decontamination Unit by loosening the drain plug at the bottom of the unit and drain into
a collection container. The DE-BUG™ Fuel Decontamination Unit does not have a
replaceable filter.
Once a year disassemble the unit and clean thoroughly.
Once a year, replace the fuel filter element in the Racor 1000FH fuel filtration/water
separator with a Racor 2020 SMOR fuel filter element (brown in color). A 2 micron filter
element is recommended.
Tools and Equipment Needed:

1 Racor Model 2020 SMOR 2 micron fuel filter element
(brown in color)
•
Absorbent disposable towels or clean rag
•
Collection container
