Raw Water Washdown
Your Krogen 58’ is equipped with a raw water washdown consisting of a GROCO®
Deck Wash Kit, 24V DC Model PJRW rated at 7 GPM (26.5 LPM), scoop type thru-hull,
raw water intake seacock and check valve, sea strainer, outlet spigot at the Bow with salt
water nozzle, 30 amp circuit breaker and associated hoses, connections, wiring, and
switches.
The GROCO® pump, thru-hull, seacock and sea strainer are located in the Forward
Machinery Space.
The outlet spigot is located at the Bow, Port side. Refer to Figure 13 – Top Down View –
Lower Deck.
Raw Water Washdown Operations
To operate the raw water deck washdown, you should do the following:
1. Make sure spigot at the Bow is closed or hose and nozzle are attached.
2. OPEN the raw water intake seacock in the Forward Machinery Space.
3. Turn ON the circuit breaker on the 24V DC Main Panel Disconnect Port side in
the Pilothouse labeled ‘ SALT WATER PUMP ’.
4. Squeeze the nozzle. The pump will run and prime itself within a few seconds.
5. Release the nozzle to shut off the flow of water. The system will remain primed.
6. Turn OFF the circuit breaker when finished using the system.
7. CLOSE the raw water intake seacock.
Engine vibration and boat movement may cause the pump to loose prime and cause the
pump to “cycle”. This is normal if the circuit breaker switch is left ON. Always turn the
circuit breaker switch
OFF when the pump is not is use .

The pump is NOT water proof. Motor damage from water exposure is not
covered by product warranty.
