Port Status and Activity LEDs
Each QSFP28 port has a bi-colored up or down LED indicator that show port status and link activity. See
Figure 51 on page 103 and Table 44 on page 103 .

Color State Description
Unlit Off The port is administratively disabled, there is no power, the link is down,
or a transceiver is not present. All sub-channels are disabled.
Green On steadily A link is established. When channelized, all sub-channels are up. When
not channelized, it indicates no activity.
Blinking A link is up and there is activity. When not channelized, it indicates the
port is up and active in either 40-Gigabit or 100-Gigabit mode. When
channelized, all four channels are up and active.
Yellow or Amber
(channelized) On steadily At least one channel link is up, but not all channels are up. There is no
activity on the channel link.
Flashing At least one channel link is up, but not all channels are up. There is
activity on the channel link.
Slow blink, or
blip The beacon function is enabled on one or more sub-channels.
