Installing Microsoft Windows 2000 on a IDE Disk or non-RAID SCSI
Disk
This procedure installs Microsoft Windows 2000on an IDE device or non-RAID SCSI drive. Have
all hardware and software on hand. See system requirements in

Intel Integrated RAID Software Installation
1. Install Windows 2000. If you plan to remotely administer the RAID subsystem of this
computer, ensure that you install the following components during Windows 2000 installation:
— TCP/IP
— Internet Information Services
2. After the Window 2000 installation is complete, log into the system with administrative
privileges and install the RAID Software Suite.
3. Insert the GSU31 CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive. If the Software Installation Main Menu
does not appear, then run the setup.exe file that resides at:
<CD-ROM root>\os_setup\win2k\setup.exe on the CD-ROM.

5. A dialogue box stating that a Digital Signature was not found will appear. Click Yes to
continue with the installation.
6. The top three components in the Adding Components window in
are preselected.
Add the Remote Storage Console component if desired by clicking on the remote storage
console box. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
