4.7.2 AI Parameters / Configuration
In the following sections we will be covering how to set up the AI settings. The AI events are
mutually exclusive meaning each individual channel can only use one of the following functions at
a time. This is due to the resources allocated to do these functions being one and the same, just
processed differently. Each channel can have a different type of event. In the case of none AI
recorders, the cameras will have to have the feature built in to support it.
Third-party cameras will not be able to take advantage of these features unless you are using one
of IC Realtime’s AI NVRs such as the NVR916NS which has a dedicated onboard AI processor.
4.7.2.1 Smart Plan
The Smart Plan is used to specify the type of advanced IVS or AI functions that will be used for
each specific channel. The selection options will vary depending on the capabilities of NVR and
IP Cameras.
Options: IVS, human face detection, human face recognition, human body detection, people
counting, and heat map.
