b. Center the microprocessor over the socket.
c. Carefully insert the microprocessor into the socket. Ensure
that the pins on the microprocessor align with the holes in
the socket.
Attention:
Do not force the pins into the socket. If you feel
any resistance, remove the microprocessor and check the
orientation and alignment.
d. Move the latch downward until the microprocessor is
completely locked into the socket. Make sure that the latch
is in the fully closed position.

11. Open the thermal grease packet. Place the contents of the
packet on top of the microprocessor.
12. Spread the grease evenly over the surface of the microprocessor.
Ensure that the grease does not extend beyond the
microprocessor edges.
13. Discard the empty thermal grease packet.
