Before you begin:

Ÿ

Be sure your current server configuration is working
properly.

Ÿ

Locate the key to the cover lock.

Ÿ

Obtain a small, flat-blade screwdriver.

Ÿ

Read “Electrical Safety” on page 45 and “Handling
Static-Sensitive Devices” on page 46.

1. Unlock the server door, if locked.

2. Open the front door completely and lift it up. Set the door

aside.

3. Remove any media (diskettes or tapes) from the drives; then,

turn off all attached devices and the server.
