RADIONICS BFSK
In this message, a TEST Report
has been received, which is
accompanied by
[STATUS REPORT], a descriptor
prompted by information found in
the BFSK transmission.
To see how FBI's High Speed Card works, depending on
result, finish this section.
Data within the format is conveyed by standard
Touch-Tones® (also known as DTMF), rather than pulses,
to provide speedier transmission.
RADIONICS
has produced a format that can transmit data
to the CP-220 via a protocol called
BFSK
(
Binary
Frequency Shift Keying;
see page B-5). Although the
transmission rate is faster from any format previously
specified,
BFSK
supports either the
standard
(e.g., 3+1) or
universal (Expanded)
type of reporting. (Each is discussed
on pages B-7 through B-15.) All numeric data and English
language displays and printouts follow the same guidelines
and restrictions as explained in
PARAMETER 28: Slot
English Language
(pages 2-19 through 2-26). In addition,
the special English language messages below will also be
generated by the CP-220 when it detects the
BFSK
format,
and are derived from a special character embedded within
the transmitted data:
[STATUS REPORT]
[FORCED ARMED],
and
[AC POWER FAIL].
The following examples show how the CP-220 displays
these messages in the context of the
BFSK
format sending
data in the
universal (Expanded)
format.
