REMEMBER!
To leave the Programming
Mode at any time, press the
Esc
key. Doing so will
return the CP-220A to its
normal operating mode.
Programming changes will
be stored automatically.
Programming Procedures:
When
PARAMETER 11
is selected, [SERIAL DATA BITS IS 7] will be
displayed. To program [8] (assuming the
Automation System
is so
programmed), press either the
NEXT
key or the
MANUAL/PREVIOUS
key,
as required.
If [7] is selected (thus allowing for a parity bit), you must tell the CP-220A
what
kind
of parity bit to generate. To do so, press the
key once;
[SERIAL PARITY IS "1"] will be displayed. Use the
NEXT
key or the
MANUAL/PREVIOUS
key to select either ["1"], ["0"], [ODD], or [EVEN], as
your choice of parity – which must agree with that designated for the
Automation System.
Default
:
Both [7]
Serial Data Bits
and [1], for the
type
of parity, are the default
selections for
PARAMETER 11.
If [8]
Serial Data Bits
are programmed,
neither error checking nor parity selection is possible.
Advancing to Next Parameter:
After programming
PARAMETER 11,
press the
N
key to advance to
PARAMETER 12
– the next parameter in
Category C
.
The CP-220A displays the parameter just programmed ([PARAMETER
NUMBER 11]) with its first digit flashing, indicating its request for the
next parameter number. Press either:
•
1
then
2
, or
• then
key and
2
, or
• the
key
NOTE: When the
is used, the
name
of the next parameter appears
immediately – not its
number.
PARAMETER 12:
Header
HEADER 48 MM/DD/YY HH:MM:SS
Background:
PARAMETER 12
is specifically intended for CP-220A receivers whose
emulation was set to
RADIONICS
in
PARAMETER 02
(see page 2-76).
Radionics
receivers use an optional "header," which is the first character sent
in a data transfer to an
Automation System.
PARAMETER 12
allows the
programming of a 2-digit
ASCII
code that produces the desired character, as
dictated by the situation and the
Automation System's
computer.
NOTE: See
PARAMETER 11
(on page 2-79) for information on
ASCII
coding and the
ASCII Character Set
.
