PARAMETER 13:
Time
TIME 05 MM/DD/YY HH:MM:SS
Background:
Because the CP-220A and the
Automation System
are two separate devices,
their time-keeping ability is likely to vary, eventually causing a difference
in the time they each display. If the computer is programmed to do so, it
will periodically request the date and time as kept by the CP-220A, and
adjust itself accordingly – resulting in both units being in "sync." To effect
this process, the computer must send an agreed-upon character to the
receiver that will prompt it to produce the required information.
Programming Procedures:
Upon entry into
PARAMETER 13,
[TIME 05] will be displayed. Although
[05] is the default, any
ASCII
character between [01] and [FF] can be
programmed (as dictated by the computer) to request the date and time.
Needless to say, if the characters used by the computer and the CP-220A
don't agree, the function will not work.
NOTE 1:
See
PARAMETER 11
(on page 2-79) for information on
ASCII
coding and the
ASCII Character Set.
NOTE 2:
This function can be disabled by programming [00].
With the first character flashing, the
NEXT
key or the
MANUAL/PREVIOUS
key can be used to change the first character, as
required. Once this is done, use the
key to move to the second digit. As
before, use either the
NEXT
key or the
MANUAL/PREVIOUS
key to change
it, if necessary. Subsequent movement between the two digits can be
accomplished through the use
of the
key
or the
key.
Default
:
PARAMETER 13
uses the
ASCII
character [05] as the default. To properly
take advance of the feature in this parameter,
PARAMETER 14
must be
programmed, as well.
Advancing to Next Parameter:
After programming
PARAMETER 13,
press the
N
key to advance to
PARAMETER 14
– the next parameter in
Category C
.
