The instrument uses a lithium battery for back-up power to the clock.
When disposing of this instrument, remove the lithium battery and dispose of battery and instrument
in accordance with local regulations.
11.4 Disposing of the Instrument
Removing the Lithium Battery
To avoid electric shock, turn off the power button and disconnect the power cord and
measurement probes before removing the lithium battery.
Required tools:
• One Phillips screwdriver (No.1)
• One pair of tweezers (to remove the lithium battery)

Remove the six screws from the sides and one
screw from the rear.

Remove the cover.
Insert the tip of tweezers between the battery and
battery holder as shown in the diagram and lift up
on the battery to remove it.

Verify that the power to the instrument is OFF,
and unplug the power cord, and any other cords
or cables.
