Headers must always be added to program messages.
(1) Command Program Headers
There are three types of commands: Simple, Compound and Standard.

Headers for Simple Commands
This header is a single word starting with an English alphabet.

These headers consist of multiple simple command headers separated by colons "

• Headers for Standard Commands
This header type begins with an asterisk "*",
indicating that it is a standard command defined by IEEE 488.2.

These commands are used to interrogate the instrument for the results of the operations,
measurement values and the current status of instrument settings.
As shown in the following examples, a query has a question mark "
