The data bits available with an asynchronous interface are 5, 6, 7, and 8.
The data bits setting defaults to 8.
2.2.3 Configuring Terminal Attributes
Perform the following configuration in user interface view.
I. Enabling/disabling terminal service

II. Setting the idle-timeout timer
The connection to the user terminal is disconnected if it is idle for a period set by the
idle-timeout timer.

Restore the default setting
undo idle-timeout
By default, the idle-timeout timer is set to 10 minutes. When it expires, the terminal
connection is disconnected. Setting the timeout to 0 disables the timer and the
connection is maintained regardless of whether it is idle.
